"Beauty is soul deep" suggests that true beauty goes beyond physical appearance; it originates from within a person’s character, emotions, and spirit. It emphasizes that genuine beauty is reflected in kindness, compassion, confidence, and authenticity rather than just external features. Unlike surface-level attractiveness, which can fade over time, soul-deep beauty is timeless, radiating through a person’s actions, words, and the way they make others feel. It is a beauty that shines from within, leaving a lasting impression far beyond what the eye can see.

I am Shana (Lorénzã) Nicholl Molina, also known as The Black Butterfly Queen—and this is my journey.
Life didn’t always come easy for me. I moved countless times and faced homelessness more than once. But through every hardship, I had a guiding light—my mother. She was a visionary, a creator, and a woman who could turn the most broken spaces into something beautiful. No matter where we found ourselves, she made sure we had a sense of home. I watched her take scraps and turn them into art, transform empty rooms with color, and use her hands to build something out of nothing.
One of the greatest lessons she taught me was this: "No matter where you are or what you have, you can create a space that feels like home. You can hold onto normalcy. You can make it your own."
Even when we lived in the back of an old church raised up on bricks, she found ways to fix things with her hands, draw pictures on the walls, and bring warmth to the coldest places. When we moved into the hood, it felt like a mansion compared to that battered church—but still, she made it more than just a place to live. She made it home.
As I grew older and faced my own struggles—including homelessness during my pregnancy—I leaned on those lessons. I carried small comforts with me, like a favorite jacket , earrings, a blouse that reminded me of stability, or even my curling iron. These simple things helped me hold onto my sense of self, my normalcy, my beauty in the midst of chaos.
Through it all, God taught me this truth: "The Earth is my home. No matter where I go, I will never be homeless again, because home is something I create."
That belief would become the foundation of Black Butterfly Kisses.
I started modeling by accident—helping a friend with their boutique. That moment led me to explore the world of beauty, wellness, and self-care. At first, I thought Black Butterfly Kisses would just be a makeup line. But over time, I realized it was something bigger. It was a calling.
Black Butterfly Kisses is about more than just beauty products. It’s about creating spaces—both within yourself and around you—that make you feel safe, strong, and worthy. It’s about turning any place, no matter how temporary, into a haven fit for royalty.
I want you to feel at home, even in the most uncertain times.
